Inis Meáin is one of the three Aran Islands that lie off the western shore of Ireland. It’s a place of rugged beauty. where fishermen’s garments have been made by their families for centuries. Inspired by this local spirit. Tarlach de Blácam and Áine Ní Chonghaile founded the Inis Meáin Knitting Company in 1976.
